Internet Library
Since the time of the great library of Alexandria - it has been know just how important a library is to society. A library is essential a collection of thought, that can be shared with others. When the information flows free, the benefits to society and the world are numerous - when it's restricted the benefits are also restricted. This is how the educated Byzantine Romans became the illiterate Europeans. The Christian church of the west (europe) began it's split from the Christian church of the east, by restricting thought and speech. To underscore this, it created a new Christian Theology - Roman Catholicism - with a full authoritative structure to enforce it's view of the world and God. Schools and libraries, which were public in the Byzantine era of the Roman Empire - became restricted privileges of church and the ordained monarchs. Since then libraries and knowledge have been restricted domains of the wealth and the privileged. It's our goal to open all education, knowledge and the libraries that go with that to the public once again. Hence, the Akadhmia University Internet Library. This library's goal and endeavor is to move the dusty stacks of academia to the spacious light of the internet - a vast library with no walls.
